Website Design & Front End Development
Web design is in most cases, the first stage of a project. We aim to firstly create a design with visual appeal because if your site doesn't look good, the chances are it is not reaching its full potential due to the attention span of a user on the web. There is more to a website looking good, so we also implement the following into our design:
- Clearly shows what your website is presenting
- Provides easy userbility and is intuitive to the user
- Contact information for the company can be found with ease
- If selling a product, making it an easy intuitive process
- Sites are aesthetically pleasing and not 'busy'
- Text is invitational to read and engages or informs users
These we believe are the key features of successful web design and although sound obvious, this is what majority of websites miss consequently
Once designs have been finalised with wireframes and presented to the client so they understand the design, is to turn the design (or a set of designs) into HTML/CSS with clean and minimal coding so that pages are easy to update, and so that pages can display in the Search Engines and in browsers at the right resolutions
Back-End Development & Programming
This is the core of any dynamic web functionality where the 'front-end' of the site is connected to the programming functions and databases that make the site work! Majority of our programming is based around frameworks so that we can do more in less time and so that it is easily extendible.
We cover the following programming languages:
- PHP
- HTML/XHTML
- CSS
- MySQL
- MS Access
- Javascript
- Ajax
Search Engine Optimisation
Search Engines play huge role in helping web users gather information and evaluate buying decisions. Which as a result 85% of website traffic comes from these search engines. It is therefore critical to consider having a SEO campaign as it can ultimately alow you to target potential customers with search terms relevant to your products or services.
Our approach to search engine optimisation is researching keywords and search terms relevant to your company and making sure that you appear in Google based on them. From there it is a case of refining these keywords into the content of your site, all the META tags and link building with these terms.
This is known as Organic Optimisation as it does not use the PPC (Pay Per Click) system which we encourage clients to stay away from as the conversion to sales is not always great
